PCL
A Personal Catastrophe Liability policy, sometimes called an umbrella policy, covers liability claims that exceed the limits on a primary policy. A PCL can be added to your home, auto or boat policy to provide extra coverage in case of a disaster.
Motorcycle
A motorcycle can usually be added to your auto policy, but it is important to remember that a motorcycle often has different coverage needs than a car does. A separate motorcycle policy will provide coverage tailored specifically to your motorcycle.
Boat
Personal watercrafts are not covered by standard home or auto policies, so consider a special policy for your boat. Basic personal watercraft policies cover bodily injury, property damage, guest passenger liability, medical payments and theft.
Flood
Standard home and renters policies exclude water damage from their list of covered perils. If your home is in a designated flood zone or close to a body of water, or if large amounts of snow or rain could damage your home, consider purchasing a separate flood policy.
Landlords
The properties you own and lease out have special coverage needs. A standard landlord policy will cover your dwelling and property as well as provide rental income and liability protection. Although many companies require that they insure your primary residence in order to write you landlord policy, we offer stand alone landlord policies.
Renters
When you’re renting a house or an apartment, your possessions are not covered under your landlord’s insurance. A renter’s policy will cover your personal belongings and living expenses should a disaster make your apartment unlivable and your responsibility to others injured at your home.
Vacant Home
Because there is an increased likelihood that a claim could occur at a vacant home, not every insurance company offers coverage for this type of property. We do. If your home is for sale, in the name of an estate under renovation, contact us about vacant home coverage.
Mobile Home
Mobile home policies generally include physical damage and personal liability coverage. Although a separate policy is required to insure a mobile home, motor homes can sometimes be added to either your home or auto policy.
